Jude
Lead Vocals
Jude Liu grew up in rural Kentucky and has been very musical ever since she was a child. She is multi-instrumental, playing piano and violin, and is passionate about voice and performance art. Despite her classical music background and successful career in healthcare, Jude has always wanted to release her inner rock goddess, and has made her lifelong dream into a reality. She has continued her musical training with respected rock genre vocal coaches and stage performance artists. She is now living her best life, pursuing a second career in music, doing lead vocals and keys in local rock bands in Las Vegas delivering performances with plenty of attitude and style!
Billy Spiers
Guitar/vocals
Billy Spiers started playing guitar in High School, and found his true calling.
Playing a cheap JC Pennys guitar, he learned to play by ear to the Beatles, Elvis, and the Stones. Billy also focused on the songs of Motown, which was crucial in his R&B background. Even when he was ripping a wild lead, the groove was always there. Then, after switching over to the heavier sounds of Led Zepplin, The Who, and Sabbath, Wild Bill came home to Vegas.
Besides working as a D.J., Billy started singing as well as playing, including a stint as lead vocalist for a Motley Crue tribute band, wearing a wig that scared all the Phyllis Diller fans. All these different experiences turned him into a force to be reckoned with on stage, and led him to where he belongs.
Laying down the law with MOXXIE.
Paul Terry
Keyboards/percussion/vocals
Keyboardist and sometimes drummer Paul Terry got his musical start literally in the womb, since his mom reported that he was “kicking in rhythm” to Elvis Presley’s hit “Hound Dog” shortly before birth. Paul enjoyed many musical highlights in his career including playing on the Las Vegas strip in the 90’s with the popular “Hudson & Saleeby” band, inspiring young people as an elementary music teacher for several years, and most recently as host and fill in Ringo for the Beatle tribute production “Beatleshow” at Planet Hollywood. Paul is excited to bring this varied experience to the talented and energetic Moxxie ensemble.
Albert Ainuu
Bass guitar/vocals
From the South Pacific Albert was raised on a tropical paradise with one radio station that played American music from American Samoa. That became the music he became attracted to and by High School he was playing Santana, CCR, Deep Purple and other popular songs. In the 80s in Hawaii he played bass for a Funk/RnB band and he was hooked. He loves to harmonize and can sing lead if needed. Over the last 40 years he has played in many different bands and most genres. Albert is creative and loves to laugh.
Brian Cannady
Drums/Vocals
Brian was born to rock. As a child, he developed a love for vocal harmonies by being raised to the sounds of Peter Paul and Mary, The Kingston Trio, and Mitch damn Miller! Young Brian annoyed the neighbors playing pop music until, at age 11, he heard Whole Lotta Love for the first time... and he knew what he wanted to do.
Over 25 years of playing dance music has now ingrained a groove oriented, "hit it on two and four" style that serves well with the Irish Thunder afforded by the double bass drums. Brian has found his home with musicians who take pride in their music. He's doing what he wanted to do - supplying the thunder for Moxxie.
